What is Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder?
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD, is an anxiety
disorder that can develop after exposure to a
terrifying event or ordeal in which grave physical
harm occurred or was threatened. Traumatic events
that may trigger PTSD include violent personal
assaults, natural or human-caused disasters,
accidents, or military combat. Women Reaching Women
is a safe place and we are here to help support
women and children who may be suffering from PTSD no
matter what the cause. Military or non-military, we
are here for you.
Our greatest goal is to establish
funding for continual counseling for women and
children who’s loved one(s) have returned from war
(including those from the Viet Nam War) and suffer
from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) or TBI
(Traumatic Brain Injury). Because of many multiple
deployments the divorce rate is every 2 out of 3
marriages fail and the suicide rate of those
returning from war is up 30%, twice the national
average and now the highest level in recorded
history!
Women Reaching Women endeavors to
provide funds to those who have fallen through the
cracks of our economy or the red tape system of our
military and civilian health care providers. Many
have little or no insurance to pay for their much
needed professional counseling they need in order
to obtain understanding and healing of the invisible
wounds caused by the trauma of life or war.
If you are suffering from depression
and would like to talk to someone; we invite you to
give us a call. We are not counselors but we do have
access to those in this professional field. Women
Reaching Women exists to help bring healing and
wholeness to the whole family. PLEASE CALL

MATTER
Oh, for
the mind to know,
For the heart to feel.
Understanding is fleeting.
Emotions demanding.
Life never ends,
For eternity beckons.
Just one glimpse would hold.
Only seconds remain for destiny calls.
Today will be tomorrow.
Success and failure,
Together they travel
Hand in hand.
Step by step,
Forming the world,
Making it all MATTER.
